My Story
There are questions that change the course of a career. Mine started long before the consultation.
During my teenage years, I experienced firsthand what it means to not feel comfortable with your hair. Although I seemingly had abundant hair, I suffered from recurring hair loss and decreased density at the roots, which affected me more than anyone imagined. Sometimes, deciding how to wear it before a dinner with friends was more complicated than choosing my clothes. That feeling of not fully recognizing yourself in the mirror, of not projecting your best self, stayed with me for years.
And perhaps that's why, when I started treating patients with hair problems, I connected very deeply with what they told me: "They tell me I have a lot of hair, but I know it's changing." "They say not to worry, that it's just hair, but I can't stop thinking about the middle part every time I go into a meeting."
As a specialist in integrative hair health and as a woman, I understand that hair is much more than an aesthetic issue. It's identity, self-esteem, and quality of life. And that's why I'm clear that not just any treatment or any medical attention will do when it comes to your hair.
Training, Science, and Medical Excellence
Since 2014, I have dedicated myself specifically to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of hair and scalp diseases. But my journey in trichology didn't start in the clinic; it began with research.
At the beginning of my training, I developed an extensive review document on the different types of alopecia and their cellular mechanisms, which was recognized with awards from the Spanish Academy of Dermatology. That work marked the beginning of everything: not only did I delve into the biology of the hair follicle, but it also defined the type of specialist I wanted to be.
From then on, I trained with some of the leading figures in hair health, completing rotations with international and national experts, and I furthered my education by working for years with highly specialized teams in complex hair pathology. All of this culminated in my Doctoral Thesis on frontal fibrosing alopecia, which received the highest grade of Outstanding Cum Laude and was recognized with awards at Spanish dermatological congresses and scientific societies.
Always with the same goal: to better understand the disease so I can better help you.
Dissemination and Teaching
At one point in my career, I became aware of something I couldn't ignore: many patients were not well-informed, and this lack of information prevented them from making good decisions or led them to treatments without a proper diagnosis or scientific backing.
That's why I decided to take action in two directions. On the one hand, I began to disseminate clearly and honestly everything that patients and friends asked me about hair, something I continue to experience as a privilege and a responsibility. On the other hand, I took on the direction and creation of a Master's degree in Trichology and Hair Transplant, with the intention of training doctors capable of offering their patients a serious, ethical, and science-based approach.
To date, more than 1,000 doctors have been trained directly, in addition to many others through national and international conferences.

My greatest learning experience, and where I enjoy myself the most, is still in the consultation room.
At AB Derma, the clinic I co-founded with Dr. Adrián Alegre in Madrid, I lead the Trichology Unit with a team of specialized doctors who share the same philosophy: scientific rigor, human closeness, and genuine support.
